When a plan ends
A new account has 7 days to start the free trial or a plan; one that hasn’t is deleted, with everything in it.
Once a plan has run, nothing disappears on the day. Your books become read-only: you can still open, search and export everything, and adding is paused until you subscribe again.
They stay that way for 30 days after a trial that wasn’t continued, and for 6 months after a paid subscription ends. Before anything is deleted you get a banner in the app with the date and two emails, each with a one-tap export. Subscribing again before the date keeps everything.
You can also delete the account yourself at any time in Settings. Every row and file goes within 24 hours. Deleting the account doesn’t cancel the subscription; cancel it in your Apple Account’s Subscriptions settings.
